First Friday Craft Group - 2012

Starting in January, the First Friday Craft Group projects will be one that will be on going for the entire year. We will be offering two projects each month - the Holiday SHELF changer and the Holiday HOME changer.

Pictures and prices are listed below, in the next two posts. The only supply we ask you to bring is a bottle of Mod Podge. One bottle will last you the entire year to finish all of the projects. We recommend using the MATTE finish.

We are hoping many of you will want to come and join us! Everyone is welcome! We are trying to get the word out about this project and it helps to have everyone start in January. Please contact Ashley Merrick to sign up for the projects.

*By signing up for the project, we will assume that you are signing up for the entire year. If you want to eliminate some of the months, please INFORM ASHLEY a MONTH before the project is going to take place. We are purchasing these kits out of state, so we need to plan accordingly.

SWAP MEET

Sisters August 25th at 6PM we are meeting at the church building to hold our annual Swap Meet. Feel free to bring any lightly used items that might be gathering dust in your house or taking up space in your closet. Come and see if there is something you need that has been dropped off. Even if you do not bring anything we would still like to see you. Feel free to come and look around see what others have brought. All are welcome.

Sisters Please Save the Date June 30th!

We would love to see you at this Relief Society Meeting. You are wonderful and we love you. It will begin with a dinner at 6:30 and we will have hands on activities and yes there is going to be a nursery. Come and join us Thursday June 30th at the Grand View LDS Chapel. Do not go by the date on the hand. Due to unforeseen circumstances the date has been changed, please note the new date is NOT the 23rd but the 30th. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience this change may have on your busy summer schedules.

New Craft Group

We are starting a new thing. Each month we will hold a special craft group. This is for everyone that wants to take part. Please invite your friends old and young. This will be a fun ladies group to create fun crafts and get to know each other. Please spread the word and mark it on your calendar. June 3rd from 6-9.

Awesome Evening!

Sisters our monthly Relief Society meetings are always a blast. Our May activity turned out well. The appetizers that were made and brought were yummy. Lisa W. is going to type them all up for us and make them available for all of the sisters that would like a copy as soon as she possibly can. We also put together spiritual journals to help us become better organizers. It is important to be physically organized but it is also important that we are spiritually organized. We hope that those of you that could not make this month will be able to make it to our next activity in June. We appreciate all of the things that you do for our ward and our community.

A House Of Order A House Of Faith

Relief Society Activity May 19th at 6:30 PM. Learn about organizing your home and becoming more spiritually prepared. Make a Faith Journal to take home. Enjoy the Appetizer/Finger Food Recipe Exchange. There will be a nursery provided.

Excellent Relief Society Meeting

Sisters you are amazing! We had a marvelous time at our meeting in April. Our speakers taught us about being prepared and knowing some facts that may come in handy in the worst cases. Afterwards we put together emergency car kits and emergency contact lists. It was a very enjoyable evening. We look forward to seeing you at our future activities.

Last Minute Reminder

Come one come all and enjoy an evening of fun. Sisters, we all have busy lives and hectic schedules but don't forget our Ward Clean-Up tomorrow evening at about 5:30. Afterwards there is going to be a BBQ.

Important Update

Sisters we have had to reschedule our Emergency Preparation Relief Society Meeting. Instead of the 21st of April it will now be the 28th of April. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to conflicts in scheduling this was neccessary. We look forward to seeing you and having a fun evening.

Temple Trip

There is Solo Sister Temple Trip on April 16th. There will be a carpool meeting at the Stake Center at 3:30 PM. Remember solo does not mean "single" :).
